Meet George Kinuthia: The Heart Behind GK East African Tours

Born and raised in Nairobi, George Kinuthia is a seasoned guide with nearly 30 years of experience leading travelers through the diverse landscapes of East Africa. With a lifelong passion for athletics and the outdoors, George pioneered some of the country’s first running and baseball safaris, and has guided countless clients to the summits of both Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro.

His deep-rooted knowledge of the region, combined with his refined approach to leadership and storytelling, has earned George a loyal following of clients, particularly across the United States, who now consider him a trusted friend and guide.

George’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his tours. He is deeply involved in youth development and environmental sustainability, supporting community initiatives like Baseball 4 Africa, Athletics Kenya (Kiambu County), and Kabete Cares Kids Sports. He has been honored with the Governor Award during Kenya @ 50 and a UNEP Certificate of Recognition for his efforts.
